The Arctic Ring of Life
The Detroit Zoo has the world's largest polar bear exhibit, complete with a tundra and ice pack section, as well as a 70-foot-long Polar Passage, a clear tunnel that winds through an underwater environment. This 12-foot-wide, eight-foot-tall tunnel takes visitors underneath diving and swimming polar bears and seals.
How zoos are making life a little more interesting for their animals. i.e. meat-filled pinatas for wolverines and foot scrubs for rhinos.
